Colin Hastings

Dr. Colin Hastings promotes People to People Safaris in Europe. Colin is based in London, but knows Tanzania from his experience of working and living in the country between late 1960s and early 1970s. More recently, he has been making short visits to Tanzania, more often with an assignment to fulfil. In 2001, for example, he completed a photographic assignment for Tanzania Cultural Tourism Programme. During this project, he travelled in most parts of Northern Tanzania taking pictures of tribal communities in their rural traditional settings. From this experience, he founded Kijiji*Vision, a fair trade photography charity that assists local organizations and photographers in East Africa.

Arvid Maeland

Arvid Maeland, the Director of AMS Reiser, promotes Community based tourism in the Nordic countries. To date, he has led tours from the Nordic to over fifty different countries of the world, Tanzania being one of his favourites. In Tanzania he leads groups of European travellers to Lake Eyasi, Ngorongoro and Haydom under the auspices of People to People Tourism Services.
